Today it's different again
Sun is shining through the windows after rain
Geometry of light stands before my eyes
Consciousness awakens a surprise
A new feeling comes inside and it isn't one of dread
A new feeling and it's not inside my head
Suddenly there's clarity, no hinting of disparity
A singing, running commentary, a sparkling, shining parity
With wonders of my heart and soul
The joy I feel is bold and whole
There's something coming up ahead
And not long now it can be said
For all the portents laced with doom
Now there isn't any room
For sadness, grief or gloom
The sun is out and gifts are coming soon
